Engineering students with the population of over 13000 students in Ghana are unable to receive hands-on engineering skills by the time they graduate from school. Students are taught Science, Technology, Engineering and Math principles but are unable to apply them practically for in depth understanding. About 65 percent of students who are visual-spatial who learn better through visual imagery and real applications are mostly affected. The internship programs that could help them learn the skills also lacks adequate time. The lack of these skills and hands-on STEM Education has contributed to the increased unemployment rate in Ghana and most part of the world. This is very important because It has awfully killed the interest of most students to pursue careers in Engineering and has hindered them from a lot of STEM opportunities.
